Introduction

Regent infers search and replace regular expression from text example. This regular expression can be used to automatically update similar text fragments according to given template. No more need to remember different regular expressions rules and special characters.

Actual text modification using regular expression should be performed in your text editor. Regent supports regular expressions syntax used in Microsoft Visual Studio (2003, 2005 and 2008 editions), Microsoft Word (XP, 2003 and 2007 editions), Perl compatible regular expressions (UltraEdit, NoteTab Light and EditPad Pro) and standard ECMAScript syntax.

Regent runs on Windows XP with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 and on Windows Vista.
